![]() Our bearded dragons are hatched in the Herp Nursery 2. Of this are of course different variants available. The eggs of bearded dragons in captivity are hatched in an incubator. (in the first 24 hours it seems not much damage to target, but rather take no risk.) Scoop the eggs carefully into the prepared trays with vermiculite. Collect the eggs should be done with extreme caution. Once you collect all the eggs have, then put them in the incubator as soon as possible. ![]() Also not wait too long with the removal because the high temperatures in the terrarium can the eggs dry out quickly. (not before, this allows them to be restless what stress can provide). When she is ready with her lay eggs, the eggs are removed. When the vouwtje no opportunity to lay its eggs, it creates a great opportunity on crossed. However, the animals are often more concerned with hiding the eggs. Let the bearded Dragon first quiet her course. The female makes a pit in which they here in a kind of trance her eggs and then bury. For laying is best a container with moist sand in the terrarium, so deep that the bearded dragons in there at all. The eggs are nice to be white and are oval in shape (still in incubator can turn off something) and have a leathery, elastic scale. ![]() About 1 month after mating the female lays her eggs. The females can produce 2 to 3 clutches a year. This is much more than other types of lizards of the same big. This increases the risk of legnoot (see also diseases/crossed). Be held in the presence of male and females, there is a risk that they are unfertilized eggs to go (reproductive drift). However, it is also possible that a female unfertilized eggs (see fertilization). Just before the eggs are deposited, the female often stops eating. Give them extra vitamins and calcium during this period for the development of the eggs There may be cautious be felt to the abdomen or eggs are present. So on another order besides the original thermostat, i ordered 4- 8qt bags of vermiculite from big apple herp and also their thermostat(looked nice) and then the incubator( another just in case).About a month after mating the female will get a big belly (the eggs are visible in the abdomen). However they werent so gravid when they got here that it was unsafe to ship IMO. Cleopatra just bred before comign here and cornelia bred a bit after that. 15 quart sterilite bin with good sized hole cut in top and 1/2-2/3 full of damp sand. that is filled with damp sand, not where you could squeeze it to drip though. i always have hatchrite to back me up just in case, i put a lay box in as they started a bit of scratching this morning i believe my husband said. ![]() I ordered the vermiculite assuming it is ups ground so i'll assume it will be here thursday then. Females nor the male show nothing but disinterest in eachother and go about their daily business like they are alone. ![]() She witness them breed and said they may not lay as many eggs as this is their first breeding. They have however gained since being here. they are getting fatter, though if i gently run my fingers down their bellies i dont feel anything but a mushy belly. The females were shipped by a friend i know in the dart frog hobby and they mated at her house. He is not an agressive breeder however and ignores them. ![]()
